Every wedding day is unique. Matt Lintz (Ms. Marvel, The Walking Dead, Grizzly Night) and Gracie Sapp’s (Miss Kentucky Teen USA 2013) wedding at The Kentucky Castle in Versailles, Kentucky truly felt like a modern-day fairytale. To say it was an absolute dream to photograph simply doesn't express how deeply I loved their wedding day!

Gracie grew up in Kentucky and remembers passing the Kentucky Castle countless times as a little girl. Years later, she found herself walking through those same gates — this time, wearing her wedding dress.

The day unfolded in shades of lavender and white, setting the perfect tone for a romantic, castle-inspired celebration. The ceremony took place on the front lawn of The Kentucky Castle. It felt as though time paused when Gracie appeared in her elegant, long-sleeved gown and delicate floral-embroidered veil, and Matt caught glimpse of his beautiful bride.

After the ceremony, guests made their way to the top of the castle for a fun cocktail hour, and then to the greenhouse-style tent behind the castle for the reception. Lavender florals and crisp white linens filled the space and set the scene for a beautiful evening to come.

One of the most memorable moments of the night came during the couple’s first dance. Halfway through, Matt and Gracie invited both of their parents onto the dance floor to join them. It was a physical picture of two families becoming one and one of the most beautiful moments I've had the honor of photographing yet.

And then came a speech that no one will forget. During the reception, Gracie’s father took a moment to honor the many people who had shaped her life — mentors, friends, and family alike. There wasn't a dry eye in the house!

As the night went on, Gracie changed into a second dress — something sleek and made for dancing! She invited her two sisters to help her change into her second look, which was a complete surprise for Matt! It was so fun to capture his reaction to Gracie's second look!

Matt and Gracie’s day wasn’t just beautiful in photographs (though it absolutely was) — it was deeply meaningful. Every decision was intentionally planned, from the venue to the color palette to the family-centered moments.

Let this be your reminder that your day can be both luxurious and personal. It can be both full of grandeur, yet entirely true to you. Matt and Gracie's day is proof of this. What an honor it was to be invited into their day and to call them friends now.
