This session was a fun one! I had the absolute joy of photographing a family that has come to mean so much to me—my sweet friend Maddie and her crew—at Prophetstown State Park here in West Lafayette, Indiana.
When we first shared that we were moving to West Lafayette, Maddie was one of the very first people to reach out. We didn't know each other at all, but her kindness and intentionality made such a lasting impression. Since then, she’s become one of those friends who just feels like a gift—someone God so clearly placed in our lives to help make this new place feel like home.
Getting to photograph Maddie’s growing family was such an honor. They’re getting ready to welcome another baby boy into the mix, and this season is full of anticipation and joy. Maddie chose Prophetstown State Park for their session, and it couldn’t have been a more perfect backdrop. The beautiful light and wide open space gave the boys room to run and be themselves, which is always the best way to capture real joy in photos. It felt exactly right for this moment in their story.
I’m just so thankful for this friendship, for the way God weaves stories together in unexpected places, and for the chance to celebrate such a sweet new season with people I care about. Maddie, you are such a light. I can't wait to see your family continue to grow!
